Alex Ortiz, born and raised in Denver, Colorado, has always been surrounded by artists and creators. After being formally trained in Cold Worked Dichroic Glass, under Andrew of Groner Glass, Alex developed a deep fascination of the material's intricate geometry, fractals, and the way light interacts with its infinite color spectrums.

Alex’s creative process centers around making each piece unique—designed so that even the artist themselves would find it challenging to replicate. This approach is coupled with a commitment to collaboration with artists in various media to expand the possibilities of dichroic glass.

The creation of Aether Fine Arts was driven by Alex’s desire to redefine fine art and create a platform that bridges the gap between traditional and visionary works. Through the collective, Alex aims to inspire artists to innovate and collaborate, resulting in one-of-a-kind creations that challenge artistic conventions.

The name Aether is inspired by its mythological and scientific significance—the quintessence that fills the universe beyond Earth.
